Medicare Open Enrollment

Medicare Annual Enrollment period will be here before we realize. This year's Medicare Annual Enrollment Period starts October 15th.

Any changes made to your Medicare plan will start January the following year. For many, The Medicare Open Enrollment period, also known as Medicare Annual Election period, is the one time during the year when all Medicare enrollees can make changes to both their health plans and prescription drug coverage.

Some reasons why you would want to change your plan during the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP):

• Your premiums are increasing
• The Medicare Advantage plan no longer has your doctor in your network
• Drug formulary drops your medication off the covered drugs list

You can always switch to another provider or medical group network, and you don't have to wait for Medicare AEP. This is a simple task! Call the member services number on the back of your health plan ID card and ask to switch to the primary care provider and the network of your choice.
