Meet our Board of Directors

Patrick Golden, MD

Patrick Golden, MD has been in Fresno, CA since 1982. He conducted his residency at VMC Fresno and completed a cardiology fellowship at VAMC Fresno. He has since opened up his own private practice which opened in 1987. He is a member of AMA, CMA and Fresno-Madera Medical Society. Along with being the Chairman of the Board, he is also a ring-side physician for the California State Athletic Commission. He has been an integral part of Central Valley Medical Providers, and we are honored to call him our Chairman of the Board.

Wade Dickinson, MD

Wade Dickenson, MD graduated from Texas Tech University School of Medicine and became a OB/Gyn. He did his training at UCSF Fresno and created his own practice in Fresno and has been practicing there since 1999. He also happened to be the President of the Valley Womens Healthcare Medical Group. He is also the Medical Director of OBED at the Saint Agnes Medical Foundation.

Aftab Naz, MD

Dr Naz completed his residency in Pediatrics at Cook County Hospital Chicago in 1979. He worked as attending physician at the same Hospital from 1979 till 1981 when he moved to a small town Madera Ca. with population of 20,000. After 15 years of solo practice, he established Madera Family Medical Group, which he has been serving as president since 1996.

Dr Naz has been associated with most of the hospitals in the Central Valley. He has served as President of Madera Community Hospital medical staff multiple times. He has been previously a member of Board of Governors of Fresno Madera Medical Society. He is a member & Past President of Madera Sunrise Rotary Club. He has been Commissioner of First Five Commission of Madera county since it’s inception 20 years ago. He is a Commissioner of CalViva Commission of Tri-county ( Fresno, Madera,Kings). Currently he is Chairman Department of Medicine and member Board of Trustees of Madera community hospital. He is President of Madera Physician Association.

Dr Naz has been involved with clinical research for the last 20 years & has conducted more than 100 studies involving new vaccines & drugs. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics & a Fellow of American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr Naz has been serving as a board member of Central Valley Medical Providers since 2018.

Mike Bruce, MD

Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colorectal Surgery, Dr. James Bruce joined Valley Surgical Specialists as a colon and rectal surgeon in 1985. He worked at this group for 18 years before joining Saint Agnes Medical Providers in June 2013. He is member of the American College of Surgeons, Fresno Madera Medical Society and California Medical Association.

Dr. Bruce received his medical degree from University of Texas at Houston. He completed his general surgery residency at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas and continued onto his colorectal surgery fellowship at Ferguson Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Dr. Bruce is also an active colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve; he completed two tours in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2012. Doctor Bruce also serves on the Central Valley Medical Providers Board of Directors and has since 2013.

Ranjit Rajpal, MD

Ranjit Singh Rajpal, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Rajpal has been practicing general and interventional cardiology as a solo practitioner since 1980. He is on medical staff at Madera Community Hospital in Madera, St. Agnes Medical Center in Fresno, and Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. Dr. Rajpal also volunteers as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Division of Cardiology at UCSF-Fresno.

Dr. Rajpal is a member of the Fresno-Madera Medical Society (FMMS) and the California Medical Association (CMA) since 1980. He has served on various committees of FMMS since 1980. He served as a member of FMMS’ Board of Directors from 2006 through 2016. He was President of FMMS in 2013 and has also served as a FMMS Delegate to the CMA. He served as an Officer of the President’s Forum of the CMA from 2014-2016. He was Chairman of the President’s Forum in 2016. He is currently a member of the California Medical Association’s Board of Trustees, representing Central Valley physicians. He is also a member of the American Medical Association.

Dr. Rajpal is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA). He has been actively involved in the affairs of the American Heart Association (AHA) and has served on the Board of Directors of the Central Valley Chapter of the AHA. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Madera Valley Physicians Association (IPA) and was President of the MVPA from 1997-2002.

Dr. Rajpal is also actively involved in health education of physicians, paramedics, nurses and the general public. He founded the Annual Central Valley Cardiology Symposium in 1980 and continues to direct this event three decades later. The Symposium brings cardiology researchers from institutions around the country and world to Madera to share the latest technologies and applications with Central Valley physicians. Dr. Rajpal leads the ‘Walk with a Doc’ monthly program for Madera and Fresno counties, serving the health needs of the general public.

Gurinder Narain, MD

Doctor Narain is a Board Certified Internal Medicine provider and practices in Sanger, California. He attended and graduated from medical school in 1994. Dr. Narain is affiliated with many hospitals including Saint Agnes Medical Center and currently services on the Central Valley Medical Providers Board of Directors. He has been practicing in California for 25 years. In his spare time, Doctor Narain enjoys spending time golfing and spending time with his family.

A M Aminian, MD

Dr. A.M. Aminian is a leading allergy, asthma and immunology specialist who has practiced in the Central Valley since 1986. He is the Medical Director of the Allergy Institute in Fresno and Visalia. He has also taught about allergy, asthma and immunology to medical residents in training, other physicians, and the general public for over 30 years.

Joel Ramirez

Doctor Joel Ramirez is Central Valley Medical Providers newest Board Member and as a data-driven healthcare provider, he also serves on their UMQA Committee. Outside of his board position at Central Valley Medical Providers, Doctor Ramirez currently holds the full-time position as Board Member for Camarena Health, Madera County's largest FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center). In this role, Doctor Ramirez provides the necessary clinical supervision to over 40 medical providers, including both the Behavioral and Optometry Departments. Doctor Ramirez received his Doctorate at UCLA in 2008. He is Board Certified in both Family and Sports Medicine.Outside of his busy healthcare schedule, Doctor Ramirez enjoys running, cycling, golf and spending quality time with his family.

Diego G. Allende, DO

Diego Allende, DO, is the owner and founder of The Allende Centre for Regenerative Medicine & Vitality in Fresno, California. He specializes in intergrated medicine and has a board certification in family medicine and a degree in osteopathic medicine.

Dr. Allende was born in Argentina and moved to the San Francisco area with his family as a child. He and his brothers often worked in the family’s auto-body shop, which he credits for his value of hard work. When he began college at San Jose State University in San Jose, California, he continued to work full time while earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology.

After earning his degree, Dr. Allende moved across the country to attend medical school in New York. After a year, he moved back to California to earn his doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. He then completed his internship and residency at the San Francisco campus of the University of California.

When he isn’t teaching his patients how to improve their lifestyles with healthy habits or administering cutting-edge regenerative treatments, Dr. Allende loves to spend his time traveling with his wife, Amira, and visiting friends and family. He adheres to a dedicated regimen of weight training, a nutritious diet, outdoor exercise, and relaxation.
